Good Morning! On this day in 1905, British daredevil Arthur Macdonald drove the first automobile to exceed 100 mphon the sands of Daytona Beach, hitting a top speed of 104 mph in his Napier six-cylinder racing car named Samson.
It’s National Brandy Alexander Day. Here’s a recipe for the creamy cocktail. Have an awesome weekend!

Luxury Condos Coming to Surfside Collapse Site
Construction began on a 12-story luxury condo project at the former site of the Champlain Towers South, the Surfside condominium tower that partially collapsed in 2021, killing 98 people.
Family members of those killed are still waiting to learn the cause of the collapse, with the federal investigation delayed and findings not expected to be made public until 2026.
The new building, called The Delmore, will feature 37 “mansions in the sky” averaging 7,000 square feet, starting at $15 million each. A private restaurant, residential butlers, a wellness spa, and other resort-style amenities are also planned.
Dubai-based DAMAC International is the developer.
Shopping Channel Leaving After 47 Years
Shopping network HSN is closing its St. Petersburg campus this year, moving its operations from Pinellas County to its parent company’s campus in West Chester, Pa.
The home shopping brand has operated in the county since its founding in 1977 as a radio show in Clearwater.
Qurate Retail Group, which also owns QVC, said closing the Florida campus of HSN is part of a realignment of its organizational structure to drive growth.
HSN will start broadcasting from Pennsylvania studios by the third quarter.
