Article Icon 1FAA Approves SpaceX Starship Launches

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) released the results of its nearly two-year-long environmental review of SpaceX’s Starship program launch plans from Kennedy Space Center, recommending that SpaceX be allowed to conduct up to 44 launches per year.

The FAA concluded that the mitigation measures outlined were adequate to address environmental and aviation concerns, even as predicted impacts to airspace and local communities remain significant.

The decision includes 88 landings, 44 for Starship and 44 for the Super Heavy rocket booster. This approval comes in addition to the FAA’s previously released environmental impact statement, which allows up to 76 launches from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.

FAA officials acknowledged that Starship launches and returns would create extended temporary airspace closures and sonic booms, mainly due to the rocket’s 17 million pounds of thrust and unique flight profiles.

Oniku Karyu, a highly acclaimed Michelin-starred restaurant in Tokyo, is making its U.S. debut on Wednesday in Miami with a new location, KARYU, in the Miami Design District.

Oniku Karyu, which holds a Michelin star for its exceptional wagyu-centered kaiseki cuisine in Tokyo’s Ginza district, is partnering with Miami Beach-based Spicy Hospitality Group to bring the experience to the U.S.

KARYU will be the only restaurant in the U.S. serving a particular caliber of rare wagyu beef from Japan, including cuts from a family-run ranch known for Tajimaguro cattle, a breed with DNA similar to Kobe beef.

The Miami outpost is designed to be highly exclusive and intimate. Chef Haruka Katayanagi leads the concept, bringing his team of protégés from Tokyo. The restaurant’s arrival is seen as a major addition to Miami’s rapidly evolving fine-dining landscape.

Article Icon 1Report: Florida Leads in Home Foreclosures

Research from ATTOM, a real estate analytics firm, shows that foreclosure filings in the U.S. jumped 14% year over year, translating to over 367,000 properties in 2025. According to the report, Florida has the highest foreclosure rate in the country.

The data shows that 1 in every 230 housing units in Florida initiated foreclosure proceedings in 2025. Researchers say in Lakeland, the numbers were more severe, with 1 in every 145 housing units filing for foreclosure.

Economist Michael Szanto said, “Florida is being uniquely affected by a massive rise in assessments for older condo buildings in response to the tragic Surfside collapse,” referring to the deadly 2021 condo disaster.

Experts emphasize that while foreclosure filings are rising, the current situation is not comparable to the 2008 housing crash. Local real-estate leaders note that the volume of foreclosures remains well below historical peaks.
