Former Miami Dolphins quarterbacks Dan Marino and Damon Huard have teamed up both on the field and in business, co-owning Passing Time Winery since 2012, where they produce 2,500 cases of wine annually.

During Huard’s time with the Miami Dolphins, Marino introduced him to wine from Huard’s home state of Washington. That introduction sparked a shared goal: to become winemakers after their football careers ended.

Marino said there’s a subtle football reference in the winery’s name: “When it’s fourth down in the red zone and you’re down by six with seconds left, it’s ‘Passing Time.'”

Exclusive bottles from Passing Time Winery will be available at Casa D’Angelo wine dinners hosted by Marino and Huard this week in Aventura and Fort Lauderdale.

The Palm House in Palm Beach is the first American property for the London-based Iconic Luxury Hotels group. Set on 18 acres overlooking the sun-kissed shores of Sarasota’s longest barrier island, St. Regis Longboat Key Resort is a 168-room destination. Highlights include a lobby with daily live entertainment and a full-service bar.
