The mission is a milestone for both the Atlas V rocket and United Launch Alliance (ULA) as it marks the 58th and final national security satellite launch for the Atlas V and ULA’s 100th mission supporting U.S. military and intelligence agencies.
ULA, a partnership between Boeing and Lockheed Martin, has a long history of launching military and spy satellites using the Atlas family and now-retired Delta 2 and more powerful Delta 4 rockets.
