Good Morning! On this day in 1824, Tallahassee became the capital of the territory of Florida. Before then, the territory had been divided into two colonies, East and West Florida, each with its own capital.

State Budget Legislative Session Begins
Florida’s regular legislative session starts today with a focus on the state’s fiscal year 2025-26 budget. Legislators have until June 30 to pass a new budget.
The $115.6 billion budget proposed by Gov. Ron DeSantis would slightly shrink the state budget compared to the current budget of $116.5 billion.

Blue Ghost Lands on the Moon
Firefly Aerospace’s Blue Ghost lunar lander made history Sunday as it touched down on the moon’s surface with 10 NASA payloads. The “Ghost Riders in the Sky” mission is part of NASA’s Commercial Lunar Payload Services initiative.
The autonomous spacecraft, launched from Kennedy Space Center in January, landed in the Sea of Crises, one of the dark patches on the northeastern part of the moon.
