Question: Where in Florida can you find Al Capone’s tomato farm and Burt Reynolds’s ranch?
Answer: Jupiter
In 1923, Al Capone purchased a property in what is now known as Jupiter Farms. The area was a prime location for tomato growing, thanks to its favorable location and fertile soil. Capone never tended any tomato crops during this time but used the location as a stash house and a place to hide his associates and their families.
In the 1960s, the property was bought by actor Burt Reynolds. He turned it into a luxury compound where he married his wife, Loni Anderson, built a farm and a petting zoo, and filmed portions of the film Smokey and the Bandit.
