Why Invest in Flyover Florida?

1. Grow the Florida newsroom and impact.
Your investment helps us expand the Florida team, deepen our coverage, and reach more readers across the state.

2. Keep it reader-owned.
We believe Floridians—not corporations—should shape the news they rely on.

3. Low minimum, big impact.
We’ve lowered the minimum to $500, making it easier for more Floridians to become co-owners of the journalism they trust.

4. Protect honest reporting.
Your support keeps us independent, fact-first, and focused on fair, balanced coverage for Florida communities.

A Quick Note

When we launched Flyover Florida, we hoped the state would embrace a trustworthy, unbiased source of news. We didn’t expect so many of you to stand with us. But today, over 315,000 Floridians get their daily news from Flyover Florida.

Your investment in Flyover Florida will send a clear message: honest journalism still matters here.

We’re 200 investors away from 2,000 reader-owners, and Florida’s shares are just 36 reader-investors. Stepping up now could put us over the top.

The U.S. House and Senate voted Tuesday to release all unclassified records related to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Epstein’s crimes began in Palm Beach, where he faced initial charges and entered into a controversial plea deal.

The House voted 427-1 to pass the act, and the Senate followed by unanimous consent, which will send the bill to President Trump for his signature.

U.S. Rep. Kat Cammack, a Republican from North Central Florida’s 3rd Congressional District, held her infant daughter, Augusta Dair Cammack, as she recorded a video near the U.S. House floor after an earlier meeting with Epstein victims.

(My daughter) will know that she was a part of the movement to release the Epstein files, but more importantly, take a stand against the pedophiles and the corruption and the absolute abuse of power of some of the most elite in the country,Cammack said.

A 2018 Miami Herald investigation exposed how prosecutors minimized Epstein’s crimes and violated victims’ rights. Epstein died in jail the next year. Ghislaine Maxwell, a known associate, was convicted in 2021 and served time in Florida before being moved to Texas.

On Wednesday, the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) offloaded $362 million worth of drugs at Port Everglades as part of the Trump administration’s efforts to sweep the sea clean of illegal narcotics.

Government officials, including Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, joined USCG officials to announce the offloading of over 49,000 pounds of cocaine, the result of 15 interceptions at sea by the crews of the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Stone.

This latest interdiction comes three months after the Coast Guard announced its largest drug bust to date, also at Port Everglades.

Article Icon 1Lawmakers to Study AI’s Florida Impact

Florida House Speaker Daniel Perez has designated the final week of the year’s interim committee meetings as Artificial Intelligence (AI) Week, directing lawmakers to spend Dec. 8-12 examining opportunities and risks posed by the rapidly evolving technology.

In a memorandum to House members, Perez stated that the decision stems from recurring conversations with lawmakers about AI’s rapidly growing influence on Florida’s economy, workforce, and education system.

We all recognize that AI may open new economic vistas,” Perez wrote. “At the same time, we see stories about how AI can be abused, have adverse effects on education, or harm emotionally vulnerable users.
