The findings of the audit are expected to be available in about a month.

Article Icon 1Bill Aims to Help Veterans and Spouses

U.S. Rep. Jimmy Patronis, R-Fla., introduced a bill to make it easier for veterans and their spouses to find jobs to ease the transition into civilian life.

Millions of veterans who proudly served in uniform possess a wide range of professional skills…Many served as doctors, engineers, electricians, and more. What better way to help our veterans transition back into society and the American job market than to allow them the portability necessary to use their skills to serve their local communities,” Patronis said.

The Veteran and Spouse Licensing Flexibility Act would allow these license holders to “port” their license to different jurisdictions within 36 months of an honorable discharge.
