Article Icon 1Guidance on Open Carry Laws

Starting on Sept. 25, all legal Florida gun owners can open carry their weapons following the overturning of a 1987 ban. Law enforcement officials, however, are emphasizing that some gun-free zones remain, and state laws still apply about where guns can be carried.

Law enforcement buildings, government buildings, schools, private property, and businesses have the right to refuse your entry,” said Osceola County Interim Sheriff Chris Blackmon.

If people don’t follow state laws, it could result in a felony. “You still have to be a responsible gun owner and gun handler,” said Blackmon. “You can’t be threatening somebody with a gun, and you can’t even pull a gun out and wave it.”

Since the ruling, Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd and local gun shop owner Al Delatorre have been preparing residents for the change. Delatorre said it will be the first time his 43-year-old business will operate under an open-carry law.

I kind of have mixed feelings about that,” Delatorre said. “I think it may be more of a privilege than a right.”

Court will be back in session today after the prosecution in the trial of Ryan Routh rested its case last week. Routh is accused of the attempted assassination of then-presidential candidate Donald Trump at his Mar-a-Lago country club.

Routh, who is representing himself, will be allowed to call his own witnesses after the prosecution called dozens of witnesses and offered hundreds of pieces of evidence.

Routh’s daughter, Sara Routh, who has been in court daily, said her father is representing himself well. “My dad is my best friend and I will never leave his side,” she added.

Routh plans to call three witnesses for his defense today, including character witnesses and a firearms expert. He has yet to disclose whether he intends to take the stand himself.

Article Icon 1Elvis’ Guitar Car Comes to Orlando

A 41-foot pink Cadillac once driven by Elvis Presley and known as Elvis’ “guitar car” has a new home at Orlando Auto Museum, an attraction inside Dezerland Park on International Drive.

Elvis famously drove the 1970 Cadillac Eldorado to a concert in Las Vegas. Jay Ohrberg, known for his unique customized cars, designed the car with the engine upfront and a long, thin extension in the middle of the vehicle that looks like a guitar neck.

Originally, there were “strings” running from front to back, tuners flanking the hood, and curved fiberglass additions to the back so that, from above, the car looked like a giant guitar.

Purchased by Michael Dezer, a South Florida developer, car collector, and owner of Dezerland Park, the car returned from France after spending many years in a junkyard and atop a shopping mall.

A groundbreaking discovery is transforming how we understand memory and brain health.

Scientists at the prestigious Weinberg College of Chicago recently built the world’s most advanced atomic microscope, powerful enough to look deep inside a living, active brain. What they saw left them stunned: the true location of memory cells, and how these cells shape our daily habits, decisions, and even personality.

Even more exciting, their research revealed a simple way to restore lost memory and sharpen mental clarity—without expensive treatments or risky medications. A revolutionary mental training program now makes it possible to reverse even severe memory loss using just a few easy, 3-minute techniques.

Because it relies on natural brain retraining—not drugs or supplements—powerful corporations are already trying to keep this discovery from the public.

The opportunity to reclaim your memory may not be available for long.
