Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche interviewed Jeffrey Epstein co-conspirator Ghislaine Maxwell on Thursday at the Federal Correctional Institution Tallahassee, where she’s serving a 20-year prison term for sex trafficking.

Blanche announced that he contacted Maxwell’s attorneys to set up a meeting with her the day before the House Oversight Committee subpoenaed Maxwell for a deposition on Aug. 11.

Blanche had asked Florida and New York judges to unseal transcripts from grand jury proceedings that resulted in indictments against Epstein and former girlfriend Maxwell.

West Palm Beach U.S. District Judge Robin Rosenberg denied the request on Wednesday, ruling it did not meet any extraordinary exceptions to federal law to make the transcripts public.
