Article Icon 1Space Coast Innovation Park Coming to Titusville

The construction of Space Coast Innovation Park, a multi-phase, five-building industrial spaceport complex spanning 100 acres in Titusville, was set into motion on Thursday with a public-private partnership announcement.

Gov. Ron DeSantis presented a ceremonial check for $5.8 million in state grant money to the Titusville-Cocoa Airport Authority at the Valiant Air Command Warbird Museum hangar at Space Coast Regional Airport.

The funds will cover the lion’s share of a new road leading to the future 1.1-million-square-foot industrial park, with Space Florida and the airport authority helping to cover costs.

The large-scale park designed for high-tech space and aerospace companies, is expected to create more than 900 jobs.

A $520 million Vanderbilt University campus may be coming to West Palm Beach, with a final decision expected in October.

The Palm Beach County Commission voted unanimously to negotiate a contract with Vanderbilt to build the campus on 12 county-owned lots on Evernia and Fern Streets.

Vanderbilt representatives said the campus would offer graduate-level business and tech programs.

This proposal follows the previously scrapped effort to bring a University of Florida campus to West Palm Beach.
