Space Coast Innovation Park Coming to Titusville
The construction of Space Coast Innovation Park, a multi-phase, five-building industrial spaceport complex spanning 100 acres in Titusville, was set into motion on Thursday with a public-private partnership announcement.
Gov. Ron DeSantis presented a ceremonial check for $5.8 million in state grant money to the Titusville-Cocoa Airport Authority at the Valiant Air Command Warbird Museum hangar at Space Coast Regional Airport.
The funds will cover the lion’s share of a new road leading to the future 1.1-million-square-foot industrial park, with Space Florida and the airport authority helping to cover costs.
The large-scale park designed for high-tech space and aerospace companies, is expected to create more than 900 jobs.

New University Eyes West Palm Beach
A $520 million Vanderbilt University campus may be coming to West Palm Beach, with a final decision expected in October.
The Palm Beach County Commission voted unanimously to negotiate a contract with Vanderbilt to build the campus on 12 county-owned lots on Evernia and Fern Streets.
Vanderbilt representatives said the campus would offer graduate-level business and tech programs.
This proposal follows the previously scrapped effort to bring a University of Florida campus to West Palm Beach.

Florida Has Most Expensive Retirement Towns
Almost half of the most expensive places to retire in the U.S. are located in Florida, according to a recent study.
GoBankingRates analyzed all U.S. cities with a total population greater than 25,000 and with at least 25% of residents aged 65 or older to determine the 50 most expensive retirement towns in America.
Twenty-four of the 50 towns listed are in the Sunshine State. The five highest-ranked Florida towns are Aventura (No. 12), Palm Beach Gardens (No. 14), Boca Raton (No. 15), Palm City (No. 17), and Bonita Springs (No. 18).
No Florida city cracked the top 10, which is dominated by six California cities.
