12 Hurt in Shooting Near FAMU Stadium
Twelve people, including six minors, were hurt in a shooting on Perry Street near Florida A&M University’s football stadium Saturday night during homecoming weekend.
Eleven were shot, and the youngest victim is 11 years old. No one died, but six remain hospitalized, one in critical condition.
Police say a fight broke out in the crowded area after the game, and gunfire followed around 8 p.m. Officers carried some victims through the packed crowd to get them help.
FAMU said its campus remains safe as police investigate. Tallahassee Police Chief Lawrence Revell said there are no arrests and no person of interest, and a tip line is open at 850-891-4610.

World Series Returns to the Trop Tonight
The World Series returns to Tropicana Field tonight for the first time since 2008, with the Rays trailing the Brewers 2-0. Game 3 starts at 8 p.m., followed by Game 4 on Tuesday and, if needed, Game 5 on Wednesday.
Stadium parking is prepaid only and averages about $150, though downtown lots run as little as $25 with shuttles. More than 100 officers, plus drones and K-9 teams, will work each game.
It’s a milestone two years after Hurricane Milton ripped the roof off the Trop. “This is a story of resilience,” St. Petersburg Mayor Ken Welch said.

King Tides, Gusts Flood Florida Coast
A coastal flood warning runs through early Wednesday for Northeast Florida’s Atlantic coast, the Intracoastal Waterway, and the St. Johns River basin.
Forecasters expect moderate to locally major flooding at high tide, with water up to 3.5 feet above normally dry ground. Numerous roads could close.
A full moon is bringing king tides, while high pressure over the Northeast and low pressure near the Bahamas are driving strong onshore winds. Coastal gusts could reach 35 to 45 mph, with a gale warning offshore today.
Farther south, gusts near tropical storm force are churning 6- to 12-foot waves along Central Florida beaches. Inland areas should stay mostly dry, but erosion and flooding concerns could linger well into the week.
