Article Icon 1Officials Support Rays Stadium Deal

On Tuesday, Gov. Ron DeSantis and other officials signaled strong support for a proposed Tampa Bay Rays stadium that will include the redevelopment of the Hillsborough Community College (HCC) Dale Mabry campus. “Baseball belongs in Tampa Bay,” DeSantis said

DeSantis was joined at a news conference at the college by MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred, Rays CEO Ken Babby, HCC leadership, and other local figures. DeSantis emphasized his support and close ties to the new Rays ownership group led by Patrick Zalupski.

The Rays have said they are willing to cover half the cost of a proposed $2.3 billion stadium, with public funding covering the remaining cost. DeSantis said he looks forward to the new stadium development becoming a destination for tourists, local families, and baseball fans.

The conference reinforced optimism about the Rays’ long-term future in the region, aiming to finalize a deal with HCC within 6 months and target Opening Day 2029 for the first pitch in the new ballpark.

Article Icon 1Federal Judge Blocks End of Haitian TPS

A federal judge blocked the Trump administration from ending Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Haitians, halting a move that would have impacted 350,000 people, 113,000 of whom live in South Florida.

U.S. District Judge Ana C. Reyes ruled that the Department of Homeland Security violated the law in moving to terminate the TPS designation for Haitian immigrants, which was set to expire last night. The decision preserves deportation protections and work authorization while the case proceeds.

The administration argued the decision was not reviewable, but plaintiffs contended it was driven by racial animus rather than nationality. The ruling marks the first case in TPS litigation centered solely on race-based equal protection claims. The administration is expected to appeal.

In Little Haiti, dozens gathered Monday at Notre Dame d’Haiti Catholic Church for a special mass, praying for Haiti and the future of Haitian families in the U.S.

Article Icon 1Disney Names New CEO Amid Record Revenue

Despite reporting record quarterly revenue on Monday, Disney stock dipped on Tuesday after the entertainment giant announced its new chief executive officer, Josh D’Amaro, who is currently chairman of Disney Experiences.

Starting March 18, D’Amaro will take the reins from Bob Iger, who will step aside as CEO before his contract expires, having returned to the company in 2022. Dana Walden will become president and chief creative officer.

Disney’s Experiences segment, which includes its theme parks and cruises, posted record quarterly revenue of $10 billion worldwide for the October-December period, a 6% increase over the previous year.

Disney’s chief financial officer said Walt Disney World in Orlando had a “very good quarter,” crediting “strong attendance performance as well as strong pricing performance.”

This Metal’s Up 122% in the Last 12 Months

No, not gold. Lithium. Prices have more than doubled in the last year alone, spurring a modern-day “white gold” gold rush driven by AI, energy, and more.

With demand growing 5X by 2040, a major opportunity is emerging. No wonder 40,000+ people already invested in EnergyX.

Their patented tech can recover up to 3X more lithium than traditional methods, in days instead of months. That combination of technological prowess and market demand are partially why General Motors led a $50M investment round in EnergyX.

In the past 24 months, EnergyX has raised nearly $100M from retail investors, acquired close to 150k+ acres of lithium-rich land across North and South America, and announced what could be one of the largest DLE lithium production facilities in the U.S.

Now, you can join for $11/share. But hurry. Invest before the price increases after Feb. 26.

The Tale Behind SpaceX’s $1.5 Trillion IPO

SpaceX plans to IPO at a $1.5T valuation. If true, they’d be the tenth-most-valuable public company by the time the average person can invest.

The lesson? Like Uber, which delivered 490,000% returns to First Round Capital, the biggest growth today comes at the private stage.

A similar dynamic is playing out in lithium, with EnergyX crossing a $1B private valuation. Only this time, you can invest at the private stage, too.

Why did big names like General Motors already back EnergyX? Because lithium powers everything from EVs to data centers. Demand will grow 5X by 2040, and EnergyX’s tech can recover up to 3X more lithium than traditional methods.

Now, they’re preparing to unlock up to 9.8M tons of lithium in Chile, a $1.1B/year revenue opportunity at projected market prices. Invest before EnergyX’s share price increases after Feb. 26.
