Question: What Florida fort once held Apache leader Geronimo and his followers?

Answer: Fort Pickens

In October of 1886, a train arrived into the port city of Pensacola, all the way from the wild west, carrying Geronimo, the legendary Apache warrior and leader. Sixteen Chiricahua Apache warriors were captured by the U.S. government and sent to Fort Pickens on the edge of Pensacola Beach where they were incarcerated.
