New State Tourism Record
Florida’s tourism industry reached a historic milestone in the second quarter of 2025, welcoming 34.4 million visitors.
The Sunshine State remains a top travel destination within the U.S., with 31.5 million domestic travelers accounting for 91.5% of visitors.
International tourism increased 11.4% year-over-year, reaching 2.3 million visitors. Canadian tourists contributed 640,000 arrivals.
Governor Ron DeSantis highlighted the milestone, noting Florida’s attractions, amenities, and public safety measures as key factors drawing visitors.
Filed in Tallahassee, the lawsuit alleges the publishers ignored requirements that Florida schools be offered the same lowest price available anywhere else in the country.
At a news conference in St. Cloud on Tuesday, Gov. Ron DeSantis said the state is protecting schools and taxpayers. He shared examples in Osceola County where he alleges overcharging has amounted to more than $279,000.
The governor said at least 5,900 overcharges occurred, and civil penalties could be between $37.5 million and $60.5 million. If the suit is successful, any monies would be returned to school districts.
Coral Gables Neighborhood Dethrones Beverly Hills
Gables Estates, a small gated community located in Coral Gables just outside Miami, was named by Zillow as the most expensive neighborhood in the U.S. in 2024. Beverly Hills, California, which is now ranked No. 4, no longer holds that crown.
According to the report, 7 of the 10 most expensive neighborhoods are in the Sunshine State, including the top 3. Port Royal in Naples (No. 2) and Old Cutler Bay in Coral Gables (No. 3) have typical home values between $11 million and $15 million.
San Marino Island (No. 7), Palm Island (No. 9), and Rivo Alto Island (No. 10) made Greater Miami the most listed area overall. Founded by golfer Jack Nicklaus, The Bear’s Club in Jupiter (No. 8) is the only remaining Florida neighborhood listed that is not in Miami Beach.
Zillow’s home value index is “designed to capture the value of a typical property across the nation or the neighborhood.” It uses metrics including sales transactions, tax assessments, public records, square footage, and location.

Scientists at University College Cork have validated a surprising 10-second method that’s transforming how women fight signs of aging—without creams or invasive treatments.
In a study involving 674 women with deep wrinkles, sagging skin, and dark spots, researchers found that using this simple technique in front of the mirror each day led to dramatic improvements in appearance within just a few weeks.
What’s more shocking? This unusual method has been shown to be up to 10 times more effective than retinol—without any of the harsh side effects like redness, irritation, or dryness.
It’s fast, painless, and surprisingly easy to do at home. Thousands of women are already using it to look 10, 15, or even 20 years younger—and the results speak for themselves.
Watch the short video below to discover exactly how this method works—and why so many scientists and skincare experts are calling it the future of anti-aging.
