Eighteen Army Rangers were suspended on Friday after videos surfaced of them shooting blank rounds near a crowded beach in Destin during a pirate festival last weekend.

Is that real?” one woman could be heard shouting in one of the clips.

The rangers had previously participated in a mock sea battle at the annual Billy Bowlegs Pirate Festival, though the shooting incident occurred outside the festival boundaries.

“This is unacceptable because there are so many real mass shootings going on in America each year,” said Michael Ingram, a local charter boat captain.

A fast-moving thunderstorm damaged homes in Broward County and lifted a plane onto a truck at North Perry Airport on Friday evening.

I start telling (my children) to get inside and get away from the windows because all I saw was the shed. . .start coming towards the house. Not even realizing my whole fence was going to be taken out also,” said Joana Klaiss, who lives in Miramar.

Multiple residents shared videos of the storm and its aftermath.

Airport officials reported that several planes were “severely damaged.” No injuries were reported, but the storm caused power outages in the area.

The Flyover

The Knicks-Pacers series has been wildly entertaining so far – and for the first time in history, trading on the outcome of the games is legal in Florida, thanks to Kalshi. This is possible because Kalshi is different from sportsbooks, operating like the stock market instead of using a traditional “house” model.

Rather than using complicated odds, Kalshi markets show a simple percentage. For example, the Knicks have about a 50% chance of winning the series, which means a $100 trade would pay out $200 if it happens.

Alongside simpler odds, there are other unique benefits to Kalshi, such as better pricing and the ability to cash out any time at fair market value.

Trade the NBA today and profit from your opinion!

Not only does Kalshi offer the only legal way to trade on sports in Florida, there are tons of other interesting markets to trade on.

Kalshi is a prediction market, which is a market on the outcome of a future event—and these events can be almost anything.

For example, you can trade on whether or not America will enter a recession in 2025 (currently a 42% chance), whether or not Trump will declassify the Epstein documents (currently 31%), who will win TIME’s person of the year, or which movies will get Oscar nominations.

Our most popular product by far though: elections. Right now, we have markets on which party will win in 2028, as well as who will be the nominee for both Republicans (current leader JD Vance) and Democrats (current leader Gavin Newsom).

Think you know something other people don’t on any of these topics? Trade on Kalshi today to profit from your opinion!
